Inglewood, Perth WA Landscape Design
Project Overview & Design Highlights:
The landscape design for the Inglewood residence, is inspired by a Cottage/Hamptons aesthetic, blending structured elegance with lush greenery. The front yard features a red brick boundary wall with modern vertical blade fencing, an automatic sliding gate, and a feature parcel letterbox. A porch tiling option enhances the entrance, with bluestone steppers leading to the side access.
Feature flowering plums provide seasonal interest, complemented by lush screening shrubs such as Viburnum suspensum for privacy. The right-side area offers an option for paving and tree pruning to enhance natural light.
In the backyard, the existing Japanese pepper tree is removed, replaced with a central lawn area framed by garden beds featuring a Lychee and Mango tree, Crepe Myrtle Sioux, and raised vegetable and herb beds for a functional yet ornamental appeal. Soft leaf buffalo lawn and exposed aggregate edging introduce curved garden borders that contrast with the house’s structured elements.
The overall plant selection ensures a balance between vibrant florals, structured hedging, and textural foliage to create a timeless, refined outdoor space.
